How to Get Skitty As a Starter on Mystery Dungeon Red

"Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team," released for the Game Boy Advance in 2005, differs from regular "Pokemon" games in a few ways. One difference occurs at the beginning of the game; instead of choosing from three starting Pokemon, you choose from over 10 starters. However, you cannot simply choose which starter you want. Your answers to a quiz, given at the start of the game, determine which starter you receive. To get Skitty, a Normal-type Pokemon, you must have the most points in the Hasty category. You are given nine out of 50 possible questions with points being given for each answer. If Hasty has the most points at the end of the quiz, you receive Skitty.

Answer "No" to the question "Are you often late for meetings..." to receive one point for the Hasty personality type.

Choose "No" to the question "Do you like to imagine things..." to receive two points for the Hasty personality type.

Answer "No" to the question "Do you often yawn?" to receive two points for the Hasty personality type.

Answer "No" to the question "Do you get the feeling you've slowed down lately?" to receive two Hasty points.

Select "Index Finger" to the "Grab any finger on your left hand" question to receive two Hasty points.

Answer "Reply right away" to the question "How quickly do you respond to email?" You receive one Hasty point.

Answer "I want to go home soon!" to the question about "A pleasant day on the beach..." to receive two Hasty points.

Select "Go Alone" to the "Vacation Outings" question to receive one Hasty point.

Choose "Not Happy" to the "Weird but funny..." question to receive one Hasty point.

Answer "Open a window" to the question "You broke a rotten egg..." to receive one Hasty point.

Select "Open it right away!" to the question "You come across a treasure chest!" to get two Hasty points.

Answer "Spend it now!" to the question "You win a lottery!" to receive one Hasty point.

Answer "Open it now!" to the question "You receive a gift" to gain two Hasty points.

Answer "Get angry and bail" to the question "Your friend fails to show up..." to receive three Hasty points.
