How to Hide Your Messages From the Top of the EVO

HTC EVO notifications, including new emails, notifications can be hidden.

Although many users find the HTC EVO’s top bar notifications system to be useful, others may not because the notifications show onscreen even when the phone is locked. For EVO users who don’t want others to see their messages or simply don't want to see the messages flash across the screen, disabling or hiding notifications is an effective solution. Hiding your messages from the top of the EVO merely requires adjusting a setting.

Instructions

1. Press the “Menu” button on the bottom of your HTC EVO’s screen and then tap “Settings.”

2. Go down the list of “Settings” and then tap the “Notifications” button on the EVO screen.

3. Tap the “Notification Settings” button.

4. Uncheck the box next to “Notifications” to complete the process of hiding your messages from the top of the EVO screen.
