Word documents can have a combination of text and pictures.

Adding pictures to a text document in Microsoft Word can help to emphasize the document's content. The application allows you to insert a picture at any point on a document. However, if you want to align the text on the document along the top of the picture, you need to use the Wrap Text utility. The utility allows you to align text in various configurations around a picture, including the option to place text at the top of a picture.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Microsoft Word, then open the document you want to edit.

    • 2

Click on the picture in the document, then click the "Format" tab.

    • 3

Click "Wrap Text" in the Arrange group, then select the option you want to use to align the text from the drop-down list. For example, select "Top and Bottom" to align text along the top of the picture and/or bottom. The text automatically aligns according to the option you select.
