The HTC EVO includes a recording program that allows you to capture audio directly to the phone's internal storage. You can then convert the audio files to your computer so you can share the audio recordings with friends and family. The native utilities in the Windows operating system are capable of accessing the audio files on the phone and transferring the files to your computer.
Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB jack on the side of the HTC EVO.
Plug the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your computer.
Tap the notifications bar on the HTC EVO and press the "USB Storage" icon. Tap the "Turn on USB Storage" button to establish a connection with your computer.
Double-click the "HTC EVO" icon that appears on your desktop. Click the "DCIM" folder, then the "Audio" folder. Click the audio file you want to convert to your computer and drag the file onto your computer's desktop.
