How to Export an AOL PFC File
Many AOL users may want to switch to a new service provider or email service, but can't bear to leave years of emails behind. AOL has historically made it difficult for users to migrate to other services by not providing means to transfer their personal file cabinets to a non-AOL location. There are some software programs that accomplish this task; however, those programs are either costly for a one-time use, or free, but require downloads and some technical know-how to transfer your PFC files. In September of 2011, however, AOL and Microsoft reached an agreement, which allows AOL users to move their email from their PFC to their Microsoft Outlook account.
