How to Do a Chic Workplace Bun

A bun is a hair style for women that is appropriate for various circumstances. Whether you’re going for a casual look or need to keep your hair out of your face, a bun is a convenient style. You may also style your hair into a bun to look professional, if you are going to work or to a job interview. This hair style is professional, yet chic, and knowing how to create a professional bun will accent your personality in the workplace.

Things You'll Need

• Sock
• Hair pins
• Hair spray

Instructions

1. Obtain an old sock that is a solid color. Cut the toe of the sock off, so the hole is about the size of a quarter.

2. Pull your hair into a ponytail. Fold the sock over, so the top of the sock and the hole are lined up. Pull your ponytail through the sock.

3. Lean over and splay your excess hair evenly over the sock. Ensure that your hair covers all of the sock. Wrap a head band around the hair and sock.

4. Secure the ends of your hair along the edge of the bun with hair pins. Spray a light layer of hairspray over your hair, to ensure it stays in place.
