How to Do a Bifold in InDesign
"Adobe InDesign" is a desktop publishing application used to create a number of documents for distributing information to large numbers of people, such as brochures and posters. One of the documents you can make is known as a "bifold," in which you can fold the finished document in half for distribution purposes. If you want to create a bifold document, you can do so by choosing the proper options in the new document menu.

Select the "File" option in your program's menu bar, and then select the "New Document" option to open the new document menu.

Select the "[Custom]" option in the "Document Preset" box. Enter the number of pages your document will contain.

Select the paper format you are using for your bifold. Bifold templates are created on letter, legal, and tabloid size paper. Select the "Facing Pages" check box to open the pages menu.

Select the proper option, depending on your paper size, in the pages menu. If you are using letter size paper, choose the "2-3" option. If you are using legal or tabloid paper, select the "2" option. Select the "OK" button in the new document window to begin working with your bifold document.
