How to Crochet a Pillow Case Edge With Pictures
Pillows can be decorated in a variety of ways, including crocheting. Neatly crocheted borders finish off a pillow and give it a polished look. Embellishments such as pictures can also be added to a crocheted pillow edge. The process has multiple steps and at least an intermediate amount of previous crocheting experience is required to make this type of pillowcase. Once finished, it can be used for decorating the house or as a gift for housewarming or even a married couple.

1
Scan the pictures you want on the edges of your pillowcase if they are not already on your computer.
-
2
Select the ones you want to print.
-
-
3
Place an iron-on transfer paper in your printer and print the pictures. Print more than one picture on the same transfer.
-
4
Iron the transfer onto material of your choice. The material should be the same or similar to the pillowcase material.
-
5
Cut the individual pictures out of the cloth and place them on the pillow edge in the order you want them to appear.
-
6
Stitch the pictures to the pillow using needle and thread.
-
7
Thread the crochet yarn through the wide-eyed needle and sew around the edges of the pictures, creating a hem.
-
8
Place your crochet hook into the first stitch and make a square stitch. Change this to a single crochet stitch for the second sewn stitch. Repeat the single crochet stitch for the rest of the sewn stitches.
-
9
Make set of stitches around the entire pillow, but this time make it decorative. For example, use a picot stitch which will give your pillow a small, lacy edge. The choice of decorative stitch is yours, just make sure do the base from steps 6 through 9 first.
