How to Get PNG Files to Show on an iPod Touch Theme
A PNG file is an image format commonly used to create icons and other graphical components of themes for jailbroken iPod touch devices. You can download hundreds of PNG files to your jailbroken iPod touch from the Cydia store. To view the PNG file on your iPod touch, you will also need to download and install the free WinterBoard application from the Cydia Store. Jailbreaking your device will void the terms of Apple's warranty.

Tap the "Cydia" icon on your jailbroken iPod touch.

Tap the "Search" icon.

Enter "WinterBoard" in the search bar.

Select the "WinterBoard" application.

Tap the "Install" button.

Tap the "Restart SpringBoard" option to reboot your iPod touch.

Tap the "Settings" icon from the home screen of your iPod touch.

Tap the "WinterBoard" option.

Tap the "Select Themes" option.

Select the PNG file you want to display on your iPod touch's theme.

Tap the "Respring" button. Once your iPod touch restarts the theme will display the selected PNG file.
