How to Change the Battery on a Timex Speed & Distance
The Timex Ironman Speed and Distance watch features a sensor battery that monitors and keeps track of your heart rate and speed. The battery lasts on average two years before needing to be replaced. If your watch cannot read your heart-rate data or you receive heart-rate error messages such as “searching for heart rate” without ever finding your heart rate, it may be time to replace your battery.

Place the watch face down on a soft cloth.

Use a coin to pry off the battery compartment cover.

Remove the old CR2032 battery.

Insert the new CR2032 battery with the positive charge facing you.

Reinstall the battery compartment cover and push until it locks into place.
