How to Disable TV Out in Roxio

How to Disable TV Out in Roxio thumbnail
Your TV connection may prevent Roxio from burning a disc.

Roxio will show a "disable TV output" error message when it senses a TV connected to your computer. You are prevented from burning a DVD or CD-ROM disc with the Roxio software while its hooked up to a TV. As each video card, TV adapter or cable port is different, the fastest and easiest way to disable TV out is not a software solution, but hardware related.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the red "X" icon from the upper right corner of the Roxio program window. When you close the program, it ensures it'll take the hardware change when its re-opened.

    • 2

Unplug the cable that connects the computer to the TV. The Windows operating system recognizes that the cable has been removed and the TV unit is now disconnected.

    • 3

Double-click the Roxio icon on the computer's desktop. Proceed to selecting and opening the files you wish to burn to disc. Select the drive letter that has the DVD or CD burner, then click the "Burn" button. It should burn the contents to disc without displaying an error message.
