How to Embed a TV Channel to MySite

Watching television online is a rising trend. One way to keep a website visitor coming back to your MySite web page is to provide something he enjoys, such as an online television channel. Due to copyright laws, most of the major television networks will not allow you to embed a TV channel onto your site or blog. However, many independent and Internet television channels allow video embedding.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit a website that allows you to share and embed TV channels on your website. Such sites include TV Web360, Veetle, Justin.tv, LiveStream and UStream. Depending on the website, it may be necessary to create a free account.

    • 2

Browse through the TV channels. When you see a channel you would like to embed, copy the HTML embed code for the channel. To do this, highlight the code with your mouse. Right-click the code and select Copy.

    • 3

Log into your MySite Control Panel.

    • 4

      Click File Manager.

    • 5

Locate the page (inside the file manager) in which you want to embed the TV channel. If you want the channel to appear on a page by itself, click “New” to create a new page.

    • 6

Click “Edit” for the page on which you want to place the channel. This opens the page's HTML editor.

    • 7

Paste the embed code for the TV channel anywhere inside the HTML editor box. To do this, right-click inside the box and select Paste.

    • 8

Click “Save” to save the changes to your page. If a “Publish” button is present, click it to publish your page to the Internet.
