How to Disable 2Wire for Bridging?

When attempting to bridge two local network connections, disabling the routing features of your 2Wire modem is a necessary step.       Open your Internet browser and type "192.168.1.254/mdc" in the address bar to load your 2Wire modem's management interface.

      Click on "Configure" under "Broadband" in the left-hand column. Type "8" in the VPI field and "35" in the VCI one. Click on "Disabled" next to "ATM PVC Search." Select "Direct IP" from the "Connection type" drop-down menu. Click on "Submit."

      Select "Configure services" under "Advanced settings." Deselect "Enable routing" and click on the "Submit" button.

      Disconnect your modem from the power source, wait for 10 seconds and reconnect the modem's power supply.
