How to Bridge the Modem

Bridging network connections refers to the action of joining two local area network segments. This allows both of the segments to share resources, such as an Internet connection or printers. If you have two network adapters connected to your computer, the Windows operating system allows you to create a network bridge. Network adapters are either physical network cards or virtual adapters. You can bridge the adapter connected to your modem with another adapter from within your Windows Control Panel.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on "Start" and select "Control Panel."

    • 2

Click on "Network and Internet" and select "Network and Sharing Center."
