How to Close Caption an FLV File
An FLV file is a digital video that is especially compressed to stream through the Adobe Flash Player. But although it is in a streaming media format, an FLV file can be opened locally in media players like VLC, GOM Player and Media Player Classic. In addition to supporting playback for Flash video, these applications can also add subtitles to loaded media by linking it with a closed caption file. A closed caption file is commonly distributed in formats like SUB, SRT, IDX and ASS. When closed caption files are commonly written to play in sync with specific digital video files.
