How to Get Rid of the Gray Bar on the Bottom of Your iPod Touch

Transparent Dock is an application available from the Cydia store that you can use in combination with the WinterBoard application to remove the gray dock bar on the bottom of your iPod Touch. Both Transparent Dock and WinterBoard are free applications, but you have to jailbreak your iPod touch to acquire and use them. While not illegal, jailbreaking will void your device's warranty.

      Tap the "Cydia" icon on your jailbroken iPod touch.

      Tap the "Search" option.

      Enter "WinterBoard" in the search bar.

      Select the "WinterBoard" application.

      Tap the "Confirm" icon.

      Tap the "Respring" icon to reboot your device.

      Tap the "Cydia" icon.
