How to Enter HTML Code on a YouTube Channel

YouTube is a website devoted to video content and is owned and operated by Google. YouTube limits the types of user customization available on standard channels. If you sign up as an advertising partner with YouTube and create a YouTube Brand Channel, you will have access to a wider array of customization options for your channel. Brand channels are the only means through which you can enter HTML code on YouTube.

Instructions

Sign up for a YouTube advertising account using the form available on YouTube. Before you can request an advertising account, you will first need a standard YouTube account. After you fill out the form and sign up for a YouTube advertising account, you will be assigned an advertising salesperson.

Request your YouTube account be converted to a brand channel account through your advertising sales representative. Your salesperson is the appropriate point of contact at YouTube to convert your account to a brand channel.

Customize your brand channel using the options available through the YouTube Brand Channel interface. Upload a banner image, profile icon, sidebar image or background image and modify the color scheme for your channel.

Edit the branding box text for your brand channel. The branding box text module is where you can use a limited set of HTML tags, including bold, links, italics, underline, font colors, font sizes, break tags and paragraph tags. Branding boxes are the only modules within YouTube that support HTML code.
