How to Enable Call Waiting on a Gateway Laptop
A dial-up connection allows you to connect your Gateway laptop to the Internet. However, you cannot surf the internet and use the phone at the same time on a dial-up connection. Therefore, if someone is trying to call you urgently, he will not be able to reach you if the laptop is connected to the Internet. Enabling the call waiting feature on your Gateway laptop will disconnect you from the Internet when there is an incoming call, but you will not miss any calls.
