How to Import PFX to a Trusted Root
A .Pfx file is a security certificate file used to verify a person or device. It keeps devices secure by authenticating with a password. A trusted root store enables users of a server you provide to feel safe logging in with their information. Importing a .Pfx file to a trusted root store gives your server the ability to verify users. Through Internet Explorer, you can import the .Pfx file to the trusted root store of your choice.

Double-click the "Internet Explorer" icon on your computer's desktop to launch the Web browser.

Click the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options" and choose "Content."

Select the "Certificates" button." Click "Import," select "Next" and choose "Browse."

Click the .Pfx file you want to import to the trusted root store and click "Open."

Click "Next." Type your password when prompted and click "Next."

Select the option that reads "Place All Certificates in the Following Store." Click "Personal" and select "Next." Click "Finish" to import the .Pfx file to the trusted root store.
