How to Finalize a Camera DVD on a Computer
Windows 7 provides a "Close Session" option during the disc creation process that allows you to finalize a DVD, even one that was created with a video camera. Video cameras that write information to a DVD do so by continuously adding data to the disc, until you eject the disc from the device and attempt to view it in a disc player. However, if you do not finalize the disc on the camera and attempt to view it on a set-top DVD player, it will not work because it has not been properly finished.
