How to Broadcast to Shoutcast With a Mac
The Shoutcast internet radio system supports Mac OS X and Intel-based Mac cmoputers. You can broadcast your own station from your Mac by installing the broadcaster tools on your machine and enabling the computer's internal microphone. It only takes a few minutes to set up a station and begin your live broadcast.

Open the Safari Web browser on your Mac. This application comes preinstalled on all Mac computers. Navigate to the Shoutcast website at shoutcast.com. Click the "Broadcast Now!" button at the top of the home page. Scroll down the new page and click the "Download" link next to "Mac OS X Intel." Wait for the file to finish downloading.

Open the installation file on your computer. Follow the program's instructions for setting up the broadcast tools.

Click the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of your computer screen. Click "System Preferences" and then choose "Sound." Click the "Input" tab and then select "Sound Output" from the drop-down bar. This ensures that your Mac's internal microphone picks up audio.

Open the Terminal application on your Mac computer. Type "./sc_serv daemon <conf" into the window and then press the "Enter" key. The Shoutcast application launches. Enter details about your station when prompted by the application. This includes things like station name, genre, file format etc. Click the "Broadcast" button to begin your live recording.
