How to Add Pictures on a Frame on Picnik
Adding a picture frame-style border to your photos can help the images stand out. With the free Picnik online photo-editing application, you can apply a photo frame effect to any uploaded image. Picnik includes a selection of photo frame effects. To add a frame to pictures in Picnik, upload the photo and use the application’s “Frames” tool.

Launch your Web browser, go to Picnik.com and sign in with your username and password.

Click the “Upload Photos” button on the Picnik home page. Go to the computer folder that contains the pictures you want to frame in the Open dialog box.

Click and highlight the picture you want to upload. Select multiple pictures in the folder by holding down the “Ctrl” key and clicking each image in turn. Click the “Open” button in the dialog box to upload the image to Picnik.

Click the “Frames” button in the Tools menu at the top of the page.

Scroll through the frame style options in the left-hand pane and choose from a selection of frame styles, including round edges, reflections, drop-shadows and decorative themes.

Click the thumbnail icon for your preferred frame in the left-hand pane. Picnik applies the effect to the picture. Modify the look of the frame by dragging the slider bars in the frame settings pane under the frame icon. Controls vary depending on the frame you select, but you can usually change the color and thickness of the frame.

Click the “Apply” button to save your changes.

Tips & Warnings
Once you’ve added the frame, access the edited picture by clicking “Library” in the main menu. Click the “Settings” button with the gears icon under the image to save it to your computer or email it to friends and contacts.
Picnik offers both free, standard photo frames and paid premium frames. To use a premium frame, create a Picnik premium account from the home page. You'll need to register a valid payment method, such as a credit card or debit card.
