How to Add "Join My List on Facebook" From MailChimp

The sign-up tab appears in your Facebook page's sidebar.

You can add a “Join My List” link to your Facebook page using MailChimp’s Facebook-integration application. People visiting your page can click the “Join My List” tab and enter their email to sign up to your email marketing list directly from Facebook. You can only add a sign-up tab to a Facebook page, not a personal profile or group. The name of the tab, its theme and the MailChimp email list it uses to are all customizable.

Instructions

1. Log in to your MailChimp account on the MailChimp website, click the “Account” menu at the top of the page and click “Integrations” under Extras.

2. Click the “Facebook” icon, and click the “Install Application” button. A Facebook pane appears on the page; provide your account information if you’re not already logged in to Facebook.

3. Click the “Allow” button to give the MailChimp application access to your Facebook profile. The MailChimp application redirects you back to the integrations page from Facebook.

4. Click the “Facebook” button on the integration page to view the Facebook applications configuration.

5. Click the “Configure Page” menu, and select the page you want the sign-up form to appear on. If you don’t already have a page, you can create one using the Create a Page page on the Facebook website.

6. Click the “List to Use” button, and select the MailChimp list you want people to join.

7. Click the “Yes” option under Use Signup Form Tab to enable the sign-up form on your Facebook page.

8. Click the “Form Theme” box, and select a theme for the Facebook form. Select “Facebook-esque” to use a Facebook-style theme or “My List’s Theme (Default)” to use a MailChimp-style theme.

9. Type a name, such as “Join My List,” into the name box for the tab.

10. Click the “Save” button.

Tips & Warnings

• MailChimp sends a confirmation email to each visitor that signs up. Visitors must click the confirmation link they receive by email before they appear on your list.
