  • 4 butternut squash
  • Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt
  • Rosemary
  • Chili flakes (optional)
  • Baking sheets
  • Kitchen knife
  • Olive oil
  • Saucepan
  • Potato masher

Instructions

      Peel the butternut squash and remove the seeds. Cut the squash into 1/2-inch to 1-inch cubes.

      Place the diced squash on the baking sheets. Drizzle with olive oil. Season the squash with a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the squash is soft and tender.

      Melt butter in the saucepan on medium heat on the stove. Mash the squash and add it to the saucepan. Cook on a low heat and stir until liquid is gone. Add rosemary and chili flakes.
