How to Add Insulation to a Slow Cooker
When preparing certain recipes or traveling with your slow cooker, it may be necessary to add a layer of insulation. Recipes such as homemade yogurt may call for the slow cooker to remain at a certain temperature for an extended period of time, which can be difficult if heat escapes through the lid. Insulating your slow cooker helps to maintain the necessary heat.
Fortunately, an effective and inexpensive form of insulation is as close as your bathroom cabinet.
