Instructions

  1. Strong Lavender Scrub

    • 1

Pour a quarter-cup of sea salt in a 1-cup bowl. The sea salt is a strong exfoliating agent that can help you get rid of dead skin on your feet.

    • 2

Pour a quarter-cup of sunflower oil in the bowl. Sunflower oil doesn't have a very strong odor, so it won't cover the smell of your fragrance, and is absorbed quickly by the skin.

    • 3

Add between 10 and 15 drops of lavender on the mixture. The lavender acts as a fragrance to your mixture, giving your feet a pleasant scent after a thorough scrub. Mix the ingredients and pour the product in a small empty lidded container and store it in a dry area.

Add a quarter-cup of ground coffee to the 1-cup bowl. In addition to the grounds' exfoliating properties, coffee also adds a piercing smell to the mixture.

    • 5

Pour a quarter-cup of coconut oil in the mixture, acting as the carrier oil. Just like ground coffee, coconut oil will provide its distinctive odor to the scrub.

    • 6

Complete the mixture with 20 drops of geranium. All three ingredients ensure that after the foot scrub, your feet will be left with a strong, pleasant scent.

    Homemade Scrub

    • 7

Pour a quarter-cup of sugar in the 1-cup bowl. Use white, brown or coarse sugar as your mixture's exfoliating agent. Contrary to salt, sugar doesn't "sting" when rubbed over sores or cuts.

    • 8

Add a quarter-cup of sunflower oil to the bowl and mix it with the sugar. Drop 10 to 15 drops of lemon to give the mixture its characteristic scent.

    • 9

Transfer the mixture to a lidded container and store it in a dry place. This mixture, created exclusively out of ordinary household ingredients, is a cost-effective option when your budget doesn't allow investments in foot-care products.
