Basic Makeup Lesson 1
Young women first using cosmetics have a tendency to overdo it. Since their skin is usually healthy and glowing on its own, restraint is the key; simply highlight features and use neutral colors or tones that closely match the natural skin tone. Things You'll Need
- Brushes
- Concealer
- Eye shadows
- Eye pencil
- Mascara
- Mascara brush
- Blush
- Lip liner
- Lip gloss

Brush concealer just under the eyes, near the bottom eyelashes, and in the inside corner of each eye with brush.

Apply eye shadow the shade of your hair to your eyebrows with eye shadow brush to fill them out.

Brush eyelids with blonde or neutral eye shadow.

Trace upper and lower eyelids with light-colored eye pencil.

Brush lashes with mascara. If necessary, apply two "coats." If your lashes are short, use a lash-lengthening mascara; if they are tightly bunched, use a mascara brush that will separate them.

Add blush to cheeks by smiling, then applying the blush lightly with a brush to highlight the "apples" that appear when smiling.

Apply a light-colored lip liner to outline the lips. Fill in the lips with lip liner, then add a pale pink or red gloss to cover.

Tips & Warnings
Keeping skin clean and healthy is vital to good makeup. Wash regularly and remove makeup at night and wash face with mild soap and warm water.
