How to Add a Tree in Pivot Stick Figure Animation
If you are making an animation with Pivot Stickfigure Animator that takes place outside in a natural setting, you can add a tree to your cartoon. Pivot Stickfigure Animator is a free application developed by Peter Bone for making animations with simple stick figure characters. Even if you are inexperienced in drawing for animation, Pivot Stickfigure Animator enables you to quickly make a tree using a few lines for the trunk and branches.
Instructions
-
-
1
Launch the Pivot Stickfigure Animator application on your computer.
-
2
Click “File” from the application menu, and then click “Create Figure Type.” The Stick Figure Builder window appears with a toolbar on the left.
-
-
3
Click the button on the toolbar marked with a line segment to select the line tool.
-
4
Click the window to create a line, then click the circle on the end of the line to select it, and then drag it to make the line longer. Click the circle and drag it left or right to straighten out the line or make it slightly diagonal.
-
5
Click again and drag to create another line next to the first line to make the tree trunk.
-
6
Click the circle at the top of one of the tree to create a new line that’s connected to it, and drag to make the first line for a branch. Click the “Down” arrow on the tool bar to make the branch line thinner than the trunk lines.
-
7
Click to make a second line, positioning it next to the first branch line to complete it. Click the “Down” arrow to make the branch’s second line as thin as the first line. Continue in this fashion to create more branches for your tree.
-
8
Click “File” from the menu, and then click “Save As.” Type a name for the tree in the text box, and then click “Save.”
-
9
Click “File,” then “Load Figure Type,” and click the thumbnail of your tree to add it to your animation scene.
