How to Add Scrollbars to the Outermost Table on MySpace

MySpace is one of the best places on the Internet to showcase your personality because you have the ability to add a background image and manipulate the actual layout of your profile. One way to do this is adding a scrollbar to the outer table on your MySpace profile. Text and photos inserted in the scrollbar add additional information to your profile without extending the length of the profile.

Instructions

    • 1

      Log into your MySpace account with your email address and password. Click “My Stuff” and choose “edit profile” from the list of options.

    • 2

      Choose the box where you wish for the scrollbar to appear. If you want it on the left side of the profile, click the “music,” “books” or “interests” box. Make sure the cursor is in the box before clicking.

    • 3

      Highlight and copy this code:
      <style type="text/css">
      div.myspace-scroll-box {
      height:100px;
      width:200px;
      font:10pt/20pt Verdana,arial,sans-serif;
      overflow:scroll;
      }
      </style>
      <div class="myspace-scroll-box">
      Enter your scroll box text here
      </div>

    • 4

      Paste the code into the box using the “Crtl” and “P” shortcut on the keyboard. You can also right-click on the box and choose “Paste.”

    • 5

      Change the part of the box that reads, “Enter your scroll box text here.”

    • 6

      Save your changes, and it then appears on your MySpace profile.
