How Do You Make Transparent Panels On IMVU and Where Should You Put the Code?
On IMVU, you have a range of editing tools available to change the design and layout of your IMVU avatar home page. These tools also include areas where you can input Internet language codes to make advanced level changes to the movable page panels. Although several advanced level changes aren’t explained on the site, IMVU provides you with the code to make a panel transparent. You need to access the panel header and body Background Options editing windows.

Click the “Edit” button at the top right corner of the first panel that you want to make transparent. A drop-down menu of editing options appears.

Select “Header Background” or “Body Background” from the menu to open the Background Options editing window for the area of the panel you want to change.

Click “Set to Transparent” in the Background Color section. The word “transparent” will auto-fill the Background Color and CSS fields. If you want to make the header or body background transparent on every panel, click the box next to “Apply This Setting to All Panels” below the CSS field. Look at the bottom left corner of the window. If you don’t see a solid color at the corner, you’ve updated the code successfully.

Click the “Save” button to save the change. Repeat this process to edit the other areas of the panel.

Tips & Warnings
If you click “Set to Transparent” and “Transparent” doesn’t appear in the fields, manually type the word into the CSS field to make the change.
If you have a white background, the panel won’t appear transparent. A panel only appears transparent when you have an image on the page background.
