How Do I Reduce a Logo on an Envelope?

Most mailing management applications and word processors allow users to print a logo on envelopes by importing a picture file. You might encounter problems, however, if the image size of your logo is too large for the available print area. In this scenario, you can reduce the image size of your logo by using a certain tool in Paint, the default graphics-editing application in Windows.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your logo image file in Paint. Right-click on the picture file, select "Open With" from the context menu and then click "Paint."

    • 2

Select "Resize" in the Home tab.

    • 3

Activate the checkbox next to "Maintain aspect ratio" and enter a new, smaller value for your logo's height or weight. Paint will automatically calculate and preserve the aspect ratio of the other dimension to avoid distortion of your logo.

    • 4

Press “Ctrl” and “S” simultaneously on your keyboard to save your edited image. You can now add the logo to an envelope using your regular word processor or mailing application.
