How to Add Margin at the Top for YouTube
Adding a margin to your YouTube channel allows you to add banners and logos to your channel to brand it. Branding your channel adds eye candy, drawing people to watch your videos and increasing their interest in your business. Only YouTube partner accounts have the option of adding a margin and a banner to their channels.

Log into your YouTube account.

Click your user name in the upper right corner of the page and select My Channel from the options that come up.

Click the Branding Options tab above your channel. Click the "Browse" button and navigate to the file on your computer you want to use as a YouTube banner. If you want only a plain margin, navigate to an image file on your computer that matches the theme on your channel with no distinguishing features. You can choose any file that is 960 pixels by 150 pixels and in JPG, GIF or PNG format.

Press the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the section to allow the changes to your channel to take effect.
