Instructions

    • 1

Locate a tag template you like on the Web. Print the template on standard printer paper and cut out the template form.

    • 2

Use cardstock in a color that complements the purse colors. Draw the outline of the purse tag on the cardstock. Cut the tag out of the cardstock.

    • 3

Outline the edges of the tag with a colored pencil or colored chalk to give it a three-dimensional look.

    • 4

Cut a small strip of cardstock the width of the tag. Keep the strip to 1/8 inch wide. Glue the strip onto the tag at the bottom or top, diagonally, sideways or horizontally.

    • 5

Punch a hole on either side of the strip and through the tag.

    • 6

String ribbons through the holes and tie into bows. Add eyelets to the punched holes, if you prefer. You can press the eyelets into the tag with your fingers.

    • 7

Add caligraphy to the tag if you know how to write in caligraphy. Apply an ink stamp to the front of the tag to make it more attractive.

    • 8

Print, or write the purse specifications, materials or other important information on the back of the tag. Use a calligraphy pen to do this. Even if you don't know how to write in calligraphy, a calligraphy pen makes any handwriting look more professional.

    • 9

Punch a hole through the top of the tag and draw a ribbon through the top hole. Tie the ribbon around the purse handle.
