How to Bypass "COD4" 1.40 on the PS3
One of the first updates released for “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” on the PS3 was update 1.40. This update addressed some game-play hiccups and fixed a few bugs, but most of the problems addressed by the update are very rarely experienced by players. If you installed update 1.40 for “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” but now want to bypass the update to play the original, non-updated game, you will have to go to the Game Data Utility and delete it. Once deleted, you can still play the game normally.
