Right-click the shortcut labeled “Jack Keane” on the desktop and select “Properties.” Click the “Compatibility” tab on the top of the “Jack Keane – Shortcut Properties” window. Check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” box and select the “Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)” option. Click “Apply” and “OK.” Now launch the game by double-clicking the “Jack Keane” shortcut. The game will run properly if the issue was caused due to incompatibility with Windows 7. “Jack Keane” does not officially support Windows 7, so use this option if the game fails to start or crashes to the desktop regularly.

Reinstall Jack Keane. Click the “Uninstall a Program” option on the Windows 7 Control Panel. Select “Jack Keane” and click “Uninstall” to remove the current Jack Keane installation. Insert the “Jack Keane” installation DVD and follow the onscreen instructions to reinstall the game. Reinstalling “Jack Keane” will resolve any issues that were related to corrupted or missing files.

Update your video card’s display drivers. Go to NVIDIA.com or AMD.com, depending on shich video card you have, and download the latest display drivers. Execute the downloaded file and follow all instructions to update the display drivers. Any issues that were related to outdated display drivers should be resolved by this.

Enable automatic updates if you purchased “Jack Keane” on Steam. Launch Steam from the “Start” menu. Click the option labeled “Library.” Right-click “Jack Keane” and select “Properties.” Next, click the “Updates” tab. Click the “Automatic Updates” drop-down menu and select “Always Keep this Game up to Date.” Click “Close” to enable automatic updates for “Jack Keane.” Performing this action allows Steam to update “Jack Keane” with the latest patches, which will resolve numerous playing issues.
