How to Mod "Fallout 3" for PS3

“Fallout 3” has numerous settings relating to game play, visuals and controls that you can modify. If you have been playing the PlayStation 3 version of “Fallout 3” but don’t like some of the settings, you can make several modifications through the Options menu.

      Launch "Fallout 3" on your PS3 console. Select the “Settings” option from the main menu.

      Click on the “Gameplay” sub-menu to modify game play settings. Select “Difficulty” to change the difficulty setting. Select “Save on Rest” to change the setting for saving when your character sleeps in a bed. Choose “Save on Wait” to change the setting for saving when your character sleeps outside of a bed. Select “Save on Travel” to change the setting for saving when you use the in-game map for quick travel.

      Click on the “Display” sub-menu to modify the game display settings. Select “Brightness” to change the screen brightness. Choose “HUD Opacity” to change the transparency of your Heads Up Display or “HUD Color” to change the color of your HUD. Select “Pip-Boy Color” to change the color of your Pip-Boy 3000 computer. Select “Crosshair” to enable or disable the crosshair. Choose “Dialog Subtitles” to enable or disable subtitles when characters talk to you. Select “General Subtitles” to enable or disable subtitles when you overhear a conversation.

      Select the “Audio” sub-menu and move the volume slider to the left or right to modify the master audio setting.

      Click the “Controls” sub-menu to modify the game control settings. Select “Sensitivity” to change the sensitivity for your PS3 thumbsticks. Choose “Invert Y” to reverse your controls for looking up and down.

      Save your settings and press “Back” to return to the main menu.
