How to Get Focus of Field on XPage
XPages is a Web development tool that is part of Domino Designer 8.5, made by Lotus. When creating Web pages that include forms, a webmaster may find it necessary to change the focus of a data field or fields. Although XPages can be both powerful and complex, this particular editing feature is fairly straightforward.

Select "Computed Field" in the program's editing mode by dragging it from the "Controls" toolbar to the center editing palette. This will create a new field and give focus to the main window so you can edit it. Alternately, you can double-click on "Computed Field" in the toolbar, rather than dragging and dropping.

Examine the tabs across the top of the main window. If you have more than one field, clicking the appropriate tab brings it into focus.

Remember that the user interface is separate from the actual data. Changing focus of field or creating a field, which automatically gives it focus, does not change or create the data elements themselves.
