How to Get Rid of the Advertisements on the Sega Emulator
A few Sega enthusiast sites allow you to play older Sega games through an in-browser emulator. However, the advertisements on these websites can be annoying at best, and at times even interfere with game-play. Use a browser advertisement block to play these games with minimal distractions. However, keep in mind that advertisements may be the main source of revenue for the the webmasters to pay for the hosting of the emulator. If you choose to block the advertisements, consider making a small donation to the site to help keep them afloat.

Determine what type of browser you'll be using for the Sega emulator website. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer all require distinct steps to block in-browser advertisements.

Install the Ad Block extension on your Google Chrome browser. Search for "AdBlock" within the insite search engine of the Chrome Extension Web Store. Locate the AdBlock extension from the list and click the button labeled "Add to Chrome" on the left-hand side. A pop-up box will appear confirming the installation of AdBlock. Click "Ok" and restart your browser after AdBlock is installed.

Install the Adblock Plus Add-On for Firefox. Search for "Adblock Plus" within the in-site search engine of the Mozilla Add-Ons web page. Locate Adblock Plus from the list of add-ons and click the button labeled "Add to Firefox" below it. A pop-up box will appearing confirming the download. Click "Install Now" and restart your browser after the download finishes.

Install and configure the IE7Pro plug-in for your Internet Explorer browser. Navigate to IE7Pro's official website and click the "download free" button. After the program installs, restart your browser and right click on the IE7Pro icon located on the bottom right corner of the browser. Navigate to "preferences," "modules," then click the module named "Ad Blocker." Navigate to the left-hand column, click "Ad Blocker" and check the box labeled "Enable Flash blocker."
