How to Fix the Navigon Touch-Screen Sensitivity
Navigon GPS devices use a touch-screen interface for navigating the device software and making selections. Touch-screen sensitivity refers to the amount of pressure needed to make a selection when using the device. You may find that the touch screen is too sensitive or not sensitive enough, and want to change the settings. Though Navigon GPS devices don't have a sensitivity setting, you can update the software, calibrate the screen and change the way you interact with the device to get better results.

1
Install the Navigon Fresh software on your computer, which you can download from the Navigon website, and connect your Navigon GPS device to the computer. When connected to the computer and using Navigon Fresh, the software on your GPS device is updated to the latest release.
-
2
Calibrate the touch screen on your Navigon GPS device by tapping "Options," "Settings," "Options" and "Touchscreen Calibration." Follow the on-screen instructions, which requires you touching a cross, to calibrate the touch screen. Calibrating the touch screen can have an affect on screen sensitivity.

Use your finger when touching the screen, or use the supplied stylus, if your GPS device came with one. These are resistive touch screens, including the Navigon 710. Touch screens that are capacitive don't work with fingernails.
