Absorb as much of the soda as you can with a clean dry towel. Blot the area instead of wiping to prevent spreading the soda across the surface of the boot.
-
2
Apply glycerin with a cotton swab to the stained area. Glycerin has a solvent-like action on the stain, which lubricates the area and makes it easier for the soda to be removed from the material of the boot.

3
Rinse the treated area with deionized water and absorb as much of the water into a dry towel as possible by blotting the area.
-
4
Mix 1 teaspoon of liquid hand-washing soap with 1 cup of water. Apply the mixture to the stained area and rub in with a clean toothbrush or other bristled brush.
-
5
Rinse the detergent from the boot with deionized water, and once again absorb out as much of the water into a dry towel as possible by blotting the area.

Tips & Warnings
If your boots are made from a material such as suede, refer to the manufacturer's instructions for stains, as these materials need to be cleaned in a more specific way.
