How to Build a Detroit Lions Theme on Firefox
Mozilla provides you with tools to customize Firefox including theme extensions that change the look of the browser. Detroit Lions fans who have created team-inspired artwork can build themes known as Personas to customize Firefox header and footer backgrounds. Building a theme requires that you set up Firefox to accept custom themes and test your artwork to see if you like it as theme. After that, follow Mozilla’s current Personas artwork dimension and file size submission guidelines to submit the theme for entry in the public catalog, where you and other Firefox users can add it to the browser.

Custom Personas Theme Setup

Go to the Mozilla Firefox Add-ons page.

Enter “Personas” in the Search for Add-ons field and click the “Search” button.

Click “Personas Plus” on the results list. Click “+ Add to Firefox” to add Personas Plus to Firefox.

Click “Install Now” when the software Installation window appears. Close and restart Firefox when prompted.

Go to the Mozilla GetPersonas.com home page.

Click “Sign In” at the top right corner of the page. Fill in your information in the New Personas User section. Click the “Sign Me Up” button to create an account.

Click the fox icon at the bottom left corner in Firefox. Click “Preferences” to open the Personas Preferences box to set up Firefox to show custom themes. Select “Show Custom Persona Menu” in the Advanced section and then click “OK.”

Click “Create Your Own” on the Personas home page and review the current requirements for creating a Persona on the Personas How To page. As the time of publication, you must save your artwork in .JPG or .PNG file formats. The image file size cannot exceed 300KB and the image dimensions cannot exceed 3000 pixels by 200 pixels for the header artwork and 3000 pixels by 100 pixels for the footer artwork.

Test your self-created artwork in the current version of Firefox. Click the fox icon. Roll your cursor over “Custom Persona” and then click “Edit” to open a Custom Persona test screen. Enter a Persona title. Upload your header and footer files and edit the saved bookmark and tab text and browser accent colors. Click “OK” to see a preview of your custom Detroit Lions theme.

Click “Finished Your Design? You Can Submit Right Now!” or “Go Submit Your First Persona" to go to the Create Your Persona page.

Agree to the Create Your Persona Terms of Service and select a method to share your Detroit Lions theme -- nonrestricted sharing allowing others to modify your theme or restricted sharing allowing users to use it for a Firefox theme only. Click the “Continue” button. Fill out the Persona creation form and then click “Submit" to update your browser and submit your theme for the Personas catalog.

Add your Detroit Lions theme to Firefox if it didn't automatically update when you created it. Go to the Mozilla Firefox Add-ons page and click “Personas” or go to the Personas home page. Use keywords to search for Detroit Lions themes. Roll your cursor over a theme to preview it on Firefox. Click the image of the theme you want and then click “+ Add to Firefox" if you're on the Add-ons screen or click "Wear It" on the image on the Personas page to update Firefox with the theme
