How to Make Clip-on Bracelets
Making a clip-on bracelet is a relatively easy project and an excellent way of creating a personalized gift for a friend or loved one. Any type of bracelet, from a hemp bracelet to a friendship bracelet, can be secured with a clasp or a homemade clip. This provides the benefit of easy removal, which might extend the life of a bracelet as it removes the added strain of tugging the bracelet over the wrist to remove it.
Things You'll Need

- Beading wire
- Wire cutters
- Clasp

1
Create a bracelet using either beads and beading wire or leather cord and waxed linen cord. String the beads onto the beading wire or wind the waxed linen cord around the brass ball chain and leather cord together to create the body of the bracelet. Customize the bracelet as desired.

2
For the bead bracelet, string a custom or commercially made clasp on to the beading wire. Depending on its construction, the clasp will attach to both ends of the bracelet, or it will attach to one end and clip on to a simple loop at the other end.

For the leather cord bracelet, tie a loop on one end of the cord, which fits around the brass hex nut. Attach the nut to the other end of the bracelet. The nut should fit inside the loop tightly enough to clip the bracelet closed.
