How to Make a Scrabble Letter Ring
Personalized jewelry never goes out of style. From the most sophisticated jewelry stores to the least expensive souvenir shops, every type of retailer sells necklaces, bracelets, key chains and rings that are embossed with names or initials. Scrabble tiles offer a simple, quick way to make your own personalized jewelry at home. Make a ring featuring the first letter of your name or spell out your favorite short words and wear each letter on one finger. You can also try this activity at a girls' sleepover party and send the guests home with their creations in the morning.

1
Locate the Scrabble tile featuring the letter you want on your ring. Clean the back of the tile with a damp cloth and then allow it to dry.
-
2
Rotate the tile so that the letter is upright and then set it facedown on a table. Apply a generous dab of craft glue to the center of the back of the tile.

3
Press an undecorated metal ring into the glue and then add a bit more glue to cover the area where they join. Make sure that the ring is horizontally straight so the letter will sit straight on your finger. Set the ring perpendicular to the tile so that the ring sticks up at a right angle.
-
4
Hold the ring straight with one hand. Blow the glue gently with a hair dryer to help it set faster, if desired. After the glue has dried enough to hold the ring in place, you can let it go and allow it to finish drying on its own.
