How to Unblock the Barracuda

Barracuda Web Filter is a program that is used by educational institutions and companies to filter Internet activity. Once Barracuda Web Filter is active, network administrators can select which types of websites users can visit and which ones are blocked. While administrators can manually unblock specific websites, the program prevents regular users from doing so. If you want to visit a website that is blocked by Barracuda Web Filter, you can do so by using your regular Internet browser to locate a proxy server. If the Barracuda Web Filter administrator has blocked access to proxy servers, you won't be able to circumvent the system.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Internet browser and visit the home page of a free Web proxy service. A Web proxy is a server which supplies an anonymous connection to the website you wish to visit.

    • 2

Type the uniform resource locator address of the website you want to visit in the designated field.

    • 3

Click on the "Go," "Surf" or "Visit" button to load the website.
