How to Troubleshoot an NXT
NXT refers to the network hardware that works with the Doors software suites (Doors NetXtreme, Doors Server, Doors Databases) to allow thousands of concurrent users across multiple sites. It is essentially a next-generation client/server interface. Handling any troubleshooting issues will require a deep understanding of the NXT controller and its related suites. Given this knowledge, you can rectify most issues.

1
Check the subnet mask and IP address if the NXT controller responds to an "Autoconfig" request but ignores "Assign IP" commands. They can be accessed from the "Networking Properties" page of the "Setup System" box. Also, ensure that your firewall is not blocking communications to and from the NXT.

2
Ensure that the NXT controller isn't a "reset" state if it doesn't respond to any "Autoconfig" requests. If it is, you'll need to assign it a new IP address before you can submit the "Autoconfig." Also, check your firewall. If these steps do not work, you may need to replace the controller as there is likely a hardware issue at play.

3
Specify a gateway address if the the NXT controller is unable to communicate with a Doors server on a remote server via a WAN connection. In addition, ensure that the Doors Proxy suite is installed on the remote server.
