How to Brace for Drywalls
When installing drywall on the ceiling, you may quickly notice that it is difficult to hold drywall in place while simultaneously attempting to hammer in nails or screw in screws well enough to secure the drywall to the ceiling. Even if you have another person helping you, trying to hold drywall in place on the ceiling might prove to be very difficult. Using a T-brace is the best way to keep drywall in place when installing it on the ceiling. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Use a tape measure to measure the distance between the floor and the ceiling in the room where you want to install drywall on the ceiling.
-
2
Purchase a 2x4 wooden upright that is between 0.5 and 2 inches taller than the measurement you took in Step 1. The wood needs to be slightly longer than the exact measurement so that you can tightly wedge it into place against the ceiling.

-
3
Line the 3-foot 1x4 piece of wood flush against the top of the 2x4. Place a nail at the middle of the location where these boards meet. Hammer the nail into place.
-
4
Lift up the drywall piece that you want to install on the ceiling. Have a helper hold it in place.
-
5
Lift up the T-brace with the "T" at the top. Wedge it firmly against the drywall so that it holds the drywall into place. The drywall is now braced.
