How to Automatically Access & Download the Album Information From AMG

When music is imported into Windows Media Player, the files may not have the correct album information or may have identification tags that are incorrect. To alleviate this issue, Microsoft has built-in album information from AMG that allows you to download album, artist and song information and correct the music files you have on your PC. This keeps your music collection organized.

Instructions

1. Click "Start" and, in the search box, type "Windows Media Player." Select the Windows Media Player item from the search results to open the application.

2. Click the "Album" option under the "Music" heading in the left-hand sidebar.

3. Right-click on an album you want to find the album information for.

4. Click "Find album info." New album information will automatically be downloaded from AMG and applied to the album you selected.

5. Click "Finish" to end the process.
