How to Open a DOCX File as an XML Zip
Microsoft Office Word 2007 and Office Word 2010 support the Open XML file format. By simply renaming Word's native DOCX format file, you can convert DOCX files to the XML file format so that more applications can read them. Changing the file extension of a DOCX file to ZIP will automatically convert the data to the XML format. You can then open the newly created XML ZIP file using a file decompression tool.
