How to See IP Addresses in Java Chat Rooms
Chat rooms created in Java contain the same scripting options you have in other chat rooms. If you want to see a user's IP address in the chat room, you use the "/dns" switch command with the user's chat room name. If a user is behind a proxy or uses software that protect him from other users, you receive the proxy server's IP address using the command.

Open the Java chat room and log in with your username and password.

Type "/dns username" where "username" is the name of the user whose IP address you want to see.

Press "Enter" to run the command. The results of the IP address search are shown in the chat room window.
