  Cut a 4-inch doughnut-shaped circle out of cardboard.

  Cut 8 to 32 slits that are at least 1/4 of an inch around the doughnut-shaped cardboard.

Making Friendship Bracelet

  Cut a 20-inch piece of string. Cut several more pieces of string at this length.
